The style
A terracotta lantern is a delightful way to illuminate your garden or home, throwing a warm light that plays in beautiful patterns on its surroundings. Our lanterns are meticulously pierced by hand to create a pattern that is a work of art in daylight, or when lit after dark. Smaller lanterns can be lit with tea lights or candles, and larger lanterns can be placed over a light fitting.
The craft
This lantern was hand-thrown at our pottery in Crete, and is made from the highest quality Cretan terracotta. Every lantern will have its own unique pattern and patina, so yours may differ slightly from the one shown above.
